[Slice of Life] Beyond the Myth

Arryn covered her mouth as she let out a small chuckle. "It could be, but who knows, humans are strange things but they fascinate me." She put her hood back up tucking her long hair in so no strands would stick out. She started walking towards town checking to see if Yoruko was following.
"So you want to know more about me?" Arryn asks as she walks through thick covered woods. "Lets see, I'm next in line to lead my clan....or was until a recent situation forced me to get banned. You may be wondering what clan i'm from considering you are not familiar with it. Its a large clan in the south, we are surrounded by mountains and a large river. Easily missed by travelers. My clan has strict rules about humans discovering our city and they are often killed on first sight."

As I followed Arryn, I slid up my own hood as well, lazily leaving my hair out as it, again, looks like the Humans of the North.
"You were banned, huh?" I asked as we walked. "My clan doesn't believe in that, really. If one of our kind is that disobedient, they're executed." I shrugged. "Though we haven't had one of those in about a hundred years." At the mention of humans, I rose a brow. "Why does your clan have such rules about humans?"

"Before my time our leader trusted a human. They brought wealth and prosperity, even many interracial relationships. Time went on and eventually, like most humans he was succumbed by greed and tried to slaughter our clan and take our riches. Thanks to that one human we have forbid human relations as they can not be trusted. I think otherwise. Why should we judge humans as a whole by one individual. That logic doesn't make sense." She looked at her new friend looking for a reaction to what she was saying. She wasn't expecting much but knowing someone who shares her veiws was good enough to for her.

As we walked, I listened intently to the other Elf's words, nodding along as she spoke.
"I do agree that it is silly to distrust an entire race based off a singular member of it," I replied softly. "My clan also executes humans, but for a different reason." I paused a moment, taking in a breath before sighing. "My clan honestly doesn't trust anyone but themselves... We've had too many occurrences where other species have tried robbing, harming, or even erasing our home. Humans seem to favour the idea of burning our woodlands to the ground." I smiled slightly. "And, you know... we might not be all that different. I'll explain that further when we watch the exploding fire, though."

We reach the outskirts of town, the sun hides slightly behind the distant mountain range. "It seems we have been gone for some time. Quickly let's get this bacon before the exploding fire begins."

I nod once more.
"You'd have a better idea than I of where it is," I replied. "You know more of this city." I hooked my thumbs in the belt I wore. It was a black leather, and held many pouches-- one of which I used to hold the new coin bag I got earlier that day. it didn't hold anything up, really-- in fact, I wore it quite loosely. I just wore it for the coin bag for the most part, amongst other random smaller trinkets.

Arryn makes her way through, keeping a close eye on her new friend to be sure she was keeping up. She pointed to a building close by. "That's the place, I heard it has good food. Come let's eat I'm starving."

We were rather quiet as we walked into the village, which was rather justified due to our accents. When we grew close to a certain building, Arryn pointed it out, mentioning there was good food there. I let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh, thank goodness," I said softly. "That browned patty tasted like pure death back at the poison drinking building."

She giggled. "It's an acquired taste." She walks into the building and it smelled like maple syrup and cooked meat. Arryn lead her new friend to a booth and sat down. The waiter came by and she ordered two bacon and eggs. "I hope you like it, the eggs are not a thing to write home about tho."

I rolled my eyes with a playful expression at the mention of the death disk's "acquired taste", before following the Elf into the building. I remained quiet as we made our way to a booth, which was much more comfortable than the stool from the other place-- likely due to how you can't feel much after indulging in so much poison... or just not caring for those who clearly don't care for themselves. Regardless, my ears rose a little at the mention of eggs.
"Eggs?" I echoed curiously. "That's a pretty common breakfast item back home-- lots of birds and whatnot due to the landscape of our village." I made sure to talk a bit quietly, as to keep any humans from turning any heads toward me as I spoke. "Hopefully the humans know how to make them right..."
