He smiles as she said 'our' apartment. He turned and looked at said apartment complex and liked the looks of it. Then he catches the reasoning she gave regarding the quality of apartment. He blinks several times in response before saying "They? And record on what?" He moved a bit ahead of her to open the door for her once we made it to the building.

"My activity in this country, and the quality of which I leave my previous residences were always near perfect," I replied dully. "Things like that add up on my visa, and the Department of International Affairs claims that one must reside somewhere equivalent to their record score." I scoffed. "I understand why they do it, but to say I have to live somewhere higher quality than I prefer is a bit annoying." When we made it to the building, I rose a brow as the mare opened the glass door for me. "Um, thanks." I awkwardly say as I walk through, using my magic to keep the door open for her.

He blinks in surprise. "Country? Where and what country?" he asked with curiosity. He listened to the record score bit and thought of it to be a bit arbitrary. But who is he to judge though? Regardless, he blushes when he was given an awkward thinks. "D-Don't mention it. I just like being polite." He said idly twirling a hoof into the pavement a bit before following her in.

I stopped after walking in, and looked over my shoulder to Atty, letting go of the door once she was in all the way so the door would close.
"I'm Fringan," I passively said. "It's far south-east from Equestria-- on the other side of Eternity's Crossing." I waved a hoof dismissively. "I should probably go visit sometime soon, but I don't care to take a ferry all the way back down there. It's horrible for business to just vanish for a week, even if you have a bunch of new works when you show back up." I paused for a moment as I noted the mare's polite preference. "It just caught me off guard, is all." I looked back forward and began walking toward the staircase. "It's something I'd expect from a stallion."

Ateren tilted his head as he heard Crystal's explanation of her home land. "Oh, so if you aren't taking the ferry. How do you wish to return then?" He asked as he followed her up the staircase. When she said his behavior was expected of a stallion, he bit his lip and did his best to say nothing.

As I made my way up the staircase, I passively flicked my mane away from my eye.
"There's no other choice, unfortunately" I replied. "The ferry's the only way to cross Eternity's Crossing for now." I sighed. "Though I do get homesick sometimes... one day, it'll outweigh my distaste for the pause in business." Once we made it to the second floor, I walked into the hall of doors that lead to individual apartments. The carpet beneath my hooves was a very soft, plush red with golden floral designs. "We're really close now. Maybe I could show you a picture if I can find it."

Ateren silently considered finding a way to help Crystal out with her travels to and fro. He then considered what he'd do while she was away which brings him to ask her a question. "So, when do you think you'll head back then?" He wondered what the picture would look like if she did find the picture. Might be worth vacationing there one day if it looks swell enough.

I shrugged as we made our way down the hall.
"Not sure, realy," I admitted. "Probably in like, a year or two, when my visa needs to be renewed again." I stopped at one of the doors-- number 297. "Here we are." I lowered my ear and used my magic to pull out my folded up map, then a key from behind it. I kept the map suspended in the air as I put the key in the lock and turned it, unlocking the door. I then moved the door, to which offered not even the slightest creak.

Inside were many boxes and miscellaneous furnishings. I stuck my tongue out a bit as my brow slightly furrowed, and everything began animating, lifting off the ground and moving to a spot. The boxes remained suspended as I walked further in once the furniture went into place. The carpet was a dark tan hue, while the walls were a paler cream. There was a horse wall (pun not intended) separating the living room from the kitchen. Against one wall sat a white couch with white end tables on each side. Across from them on the other wall sat a rather elaborate birch wood entertainment centre, with a black flat screen television in the centre. Nothing yet occupied any of the other shelves of the centre. A birch wood coffee table sat between the couch and the centre, closer to the couch.

"Come on in, Miss Atty," I said passively. "I'm just organizing at the moment." I then walked down the hall, the levitating boxes following in tow. "Feel free to have a seat on the couch-- I can still hear you fairly well from the other side of the apartment."

Ateren looked over the area in slight awe. It was a high class apartment after all. "A few years huh?" He said, slightly thanking no body in particular for this. He didn't want to immediately have to move out because she had to head back home or something. Regardless, he sat on the couch and made himself comfily at home. "The decorations are nice... Is all of this stuff yours?"

I opened a couple of the boxes with my magic and pulled out some pictures and nails. I pressed the nail into the wall without need of a hammer before hanging the images up.
"Don't worry, I'd renew my visa the day before I go," I called to her. "I wouldn't abandon you like that." Hanging up the images, I then moved onto the room I would have used for my things. There were a plethora of easels, canvases, and paints strewn around in a semi-neat way. I used my magic and moved them all into the living room, propping them against or on the horse wall. This left the room empty, only holding a ceiling fan with sky blue blades and a pale baby blue bulb on slightly darker blue walls and ceiling, with a green carpet floor. I could tell they were likely going for a wilderness feel.

"Yep," I replied, making the most of my multitasking abilities. "I've been steadily collecting some basic memories and furnishings to move from apartment to apartment whenever I renew my visa." I moved into my room-- a darker themed room with midnight blues and purples for the walls and roof, a colourless bulb in a ceiling fan bearing black blades. In the room sat a full size bed with black sheets on a dark oak frame. On each side was two end tables of the same wood with black lamps atop them both. I set By Night Then Day on the end table farther from the door. Across from the bed sat a full size dark oak wardrobe next to a closet with mirrors on the sliding doors. "By the way, do you know you measurements?"
