[Pokémon] The Lost Dominion
#21
Isabelle listened to the four Pokemon chatting away as she attempted to reboot her two missing functions. Thankfully it didn't take her long to be back in working order, so she could at least make an attempt to converse with them normally. She hovered her normal distance off the ground and began introducing herself in a sense. "Terribly sorry about that momentary interruption. I have a few bugs in my system that need to be worked out. Allow me to introduce myself as well. I am Project: Isabelle. While it wouldn't appear so, I am an android created by someone who is no longer important to me or anyone else." She said to the new Pokemon.
She didn't want to take complete control of the conversation however, so she remained quiet after her introduction, allowing the other Pokemon to continue talking as normally. That wasn't the entire reason she didn't continue talking however, the other reason being that one of the things her creators had left out in her programming for efficiency's sake was social skills, and she had only learned so much about them during her time with her trainer, so she wasn't necessarily a conversationalist by any means.

Sapphire raised an eyebrow as Barry and Tara introduced themselves. Ateren, however, was clueless. On top of that, he gave Isabelle a curious look. The thought of an android Pokémon was pretty different. "Oh, well it's nice to meet you too Isabelle." Sapphire wondered if blurting out being an android first thing was wise or not. But she figured it didn't matter too much considering everyone is pretty nice, although suspicious of Barry and Tara. Sapphire clears her throat. "Yes. Well aren't we all the odd ones out? I'd hardly suspect any of us to really be from around here, let alone run in on the same spot. I'm no stranger to superstition, but we might as well become friends~" She said with a wink and head tilt. Ateren skewed the corner of his mouth with a look that says 'do you have to wink like that?'

"Nyleath? Thats a cute name. Zeke stop being rude, we have a guest."
Zeke opened his right eye and looked at Nyleath "hmpf. Wake me up when she leaves, I'm not in the mood."
"I apologize about Zeke." Aura says walking towards Nyleath with a plate of food. "Hes not the social type, trust me though....once he opens up to you he's a gentle teddy bear."
Zekes ears twitched once he heard the words gentle and bear. "Don't say weird things Aura." Zeke said softly. Aura chuckled at how distrut Zeke got and went to go get another plate of food.

Tara gave Barry a look of slight wariness, the two had no particular plans but still hanging around with other Pokemon could be harmful. Tara for now stayed quiet, keeping an eye on Sapphire and Ateren, noting Sapphire's wink as she spoke, Tara was slightly put off by this but said nothing. Though the androids announcement surprised her little, she knew something was up when she first saw the android Ledian approach. Barry took a second to reply, also slightly off put by Sapphire's unusual way of speaking and acting, but regardless replied with a slight laugh,
" Well said Miss Sapphire. It is perhaps no coincidence that we five have met. We all seem to be odd ones indeed. I'd be pleased to be of your acquaintance. I'm sure Tara won't mind either..."
Tara finally spoke her voice soft and smooth, yet her tone remained incredibly firm,
" I think Sapphire might be right as well. Coincidences are usually not this convenient."
Barry nodded happily and said,
" Well it's settled then we might as well be your acquaintances Miss Sapphire, Mister Ateren, and Miss... Shall I just call you Isabelle?"
Barry turned to the android for an answer, obviously Project: Isabelle was a bit of a mouth-full.

Nyleath grabs the plate, eager to chow down on something to eat finally~
"Thank you, I won't be a problem and I'd rather not use up more of your time... I can be on my way afterwards, I appreciate your kindness"

"Please do, I understand just how tiring it would be calling me by my full name every single time you have to address me." Isabelle said, not particularly caring just what the new Pokemon called her.
She could sense the air of suspicion among the other Pokemon, but passed it off as nothing more than her imagination. Even if the others were suspicious about something however, she hoped it had nothing to do with the fact that she wasn't a real Pokemon. Nobody asked her to go any further into explaining it however, so she felt like as if they didn't really care all that much or had seen something of the sort before. Addressing the next point of interest, she went on to say, "Sapphire and Tara here are correct, as long as we've been brought together like this, and seeing as none of us are quite what you would call average Pokemon, we might as well consider ourselves acquaintances. At least for the time being."

Ateren looks to the sky as he rubs his chin with his claw. "All that leave now is a 'why'. Either that, or I should think about doing the Pokémon lottery right about now if this is an elaborate coincidence." Ateren said, not really knowing what he'd do with money in the first place. "Quick, guess a number between one and a billion Ateren." Sapphire said as she looked down at him. "Uh, 2983?" She shook her head. "Way off. With that said, don't bother with human lotteries..." She said as Ateren gave a meek shrug and grin. Sapphire adjusts her glasses after looking down. "I just hope the reason we're here isn't a terrible one. ...Actually, we could start with why we are here. For instance, Ateren and I are traveling through the forest simply to find a certain Alakazam for advice."

Aura's smile slowly faded. "Aw, dont be like that. You are not bothering anyone. Why dont you say awhile?" Aura snaped her fingers as she thought of something. "I know, why dont you come with Zeke and I to the lake. I heard it's beautiful there." Zeke gave Aura an irritated look as he continued to eat his food.

Tara and Barry exchanged brief meaningful glances of shared concern. Both knew that if they told the truth of their purpose here, one of these Pokemon might have heard of the dynamic duo and their reputations in the human world. But then again it seemed none of these Pokemon had seemed to flag the fact that the names Barry and Tara could be linked to those same names in the Hoenn Gym System. It was Barry however who answered slowly, deciding for now it was best to tell the truth rather then face it later,
" Well actually Miss Sapphire, we're here for a bit of a rest and relaxation, sort of a vacation. Orders from our trainer you see..."
Barry paused for a second as Tara shifted slightly looking ever more wary as Barry talked. Barry continued,
" You might of heard of us if you've ever been to Hoenn... Barrrrrry The Latios and Tara the Shiny Mightyena? If you haven't heard of us maybe you've heard of our trainer, Autumn?"
Barry took a second here, reaching into a bag he had strapped to his side, hidden by the shadows until now and pulled out a lavishly decorated board backed with gold trimmed black velvet. Pinned in it were all 8 gym badges of the Hoenn gym system along with a small medal minted in what seemed to be platinum, inscribed on it's edges were the words, "Hoenn League Champion." Barry gave a half-smile deciding for now to gage the reactions from his new acquaintances.

Isabelle, upon discovering that the Latios and Mightyena both had a trainer, immediately began to question if it was worth sticking around them any longer. Champion or not, she would never trust any trainer that she had the misfortune of meeting. She had nothing against the two Pokemon in particular just yet, but she feared that if she stuck around them any longer, they may end up leading her right to this trainer of theirs and forcing her into something she had tried her hardest to avoid for so long. "Blegh. A trainer you say? They're such filthy, evil creatures. Why would you ever become partners with one of them?" She asked in a very clearly disgusted tone.
The more she thought about whatever trainer that the two Pokemon belonged to, the more terrible flashbacks she had to her own trainer who had abandoned her long ago. Every lie that she remembered that the human had told her only made her hate him, and by extension every other human that much more.
