Alright ladies and gentlemen, I've decided to try and put together a travelling adventure with as little restrictions as possible as to what is possible in the setting while also keeping interest and creativity high. The setting is a planet that was shattered in a catastrophe long ago but is still held together by a mysterious force within the planet's core, as a result there are divides between continents that seem to extend down into the earth forever, floating islands in the sky, and chasms that stretch for hundreds of miles going deep into the heart of the planet itself. Many secrets lie in the planet's mysterious underbelly, as well as in the distant islands in the sky. Unexplainable and strange things happen often in this world. The world is a dangerous one, from the unexplainable natural disasters caused by the planet's strange nature, monsters and giant creatures that pose as much a threat to civilization as any war or disease. For an adventurer or treasure hunter, the many treasures that lie in the out of the way lairs, ruins and caverns of the world are often guarded by ingenious traps and defenses set out by the old civilizations that left them behind. There's alot of ways to be an adventurer, from hunting massive beasts to finding lost knowledge.

There are many kingdoms both in the vast underground chasms and on the surface of the world, and some small kingdoms even exist on the vast floating islands that are scattered above the chasms that divide the world. Travel by air is common in this world, zeppelins, railways and magical means of transportation are just as common as travel by horseback or by caravan. Some aquatic species even make provinces in the world's oceans. Magic and Science are often intertwined.

Once everyone interested has decided on a character I'll write out a starting point for the adventure, as for the goal of that adventure, that will be decided by both the characters involved and the flow of the roleplay.

I will be playing a character I created for this setting quite a long time ago, she will be in the character repository.  I'll be happy to answer any questions about the setting but try not to worry about 'violating consistancy'.

Rules-
  • If you're wondering about restrictions concerning lore and technology, don't worry so much about it. Magic and Science are nearly one and the same, and many places feature fantastic steam powered machines and clockworks just as many other locations feature a more high fantasy theme.
  • Both high fantasy staples and more creative characters are equally welcome
  • Following Site rules is important of course
  • Other common courtesies should be observed as well, try not to shut someone out of an RP by keeping conversations and posts between you and one other person.
  • Remember to have fun~

Sweet. Reminds me of a cross between Skies of Arcadia and Spiral knights. With that said, I'll probably use my human Ateren that's in the repository. With the change of Ateren being more of a engineer than a builder. I'm debating on if he'll have a ship already or not.

Good eye for references you have there, the planet was heavily inspired by a setting from warhammer 40k (A huge clockwork planet) and spiral knight's clockworks.
I can already see interesting interaction between Ateren and my own character, I like where this is going, I can't wait to see what everyone else has in mind

As a monster hunter fan I like the idea of an adventurer who hunts massive beasts, I might use my elfin characters like Ferin or a more exotic species like a bat girl I have named Tatiana

To use my Dragon girl or not, that is the question. I may have to make a new character for this

I can't be into high fantasy stuff? XD
(Just because I'm better known for my pony stuff doesn't mean I haven't done my fair share of dungeon crawling! Now then, ONWARDS TO ADVENTURE!)
