[Fur] RPN's Maiden Furry RP

Ateren's the kind of guy to be polite just to be polite. "No idea! I literally have nightmares about not getting a girl purely because I wouldn't be able to wear our own wedding band." He said as he closed the door behind him. "It's the equivalent of you being allergic to fish and you can only live in a world surrounded by fish to marry." He said walking up to the counter. "Two please! Window booth if you can." He said to the waitress before turning back to Yuu, continuing his conversation. He seemed to become increasingly more comfortable with her. One would even wonder why he's so shy bitten in the first place when he's this chatty.

What a Mystery

The waitress nodded before picking up two menus.
"Follow me, please," She said. Her voice was fairly silky, and held a slight southern accent. I followed her without saying a word, thinking of Ateren's comparison to his metal allergy with my fish one. The café wasn't too busy at this time, considering it was a weekend not quite time for the lunch rush. The few customers there were of miscellaneous species, ultimately minding their own business or having idle chatter with each other. The waitress was an odd mix of species, though. I couldn't quite make out what she was. She had the colour scheme of an arctic fox -- blue eyes, white fur, silver hair in a braided ponytail -- but she had a deer's length tail and cat-like ears.

When we arrived at our table, she set down our menus and said "Someone will be right with you," before going back to the front for anyone else who could come in. I looked over the menu's cover before sitting down, taking in the colour scheme they decided to use. It looks similar to what I remember... they must have changed it at least once since I've been around here last.

Ateren smiled followed the waitress to the booth. He situates himself cozily next to the window. "I love the window seat, it's right next to the outdoors and it's like my own little nook." He said curling up a bit. Soon as the menus were placed he picked his up and gave it one glance before setting it back down. It seemed like he knew what he was going to order. "Have you been here before?" he asked, in curiosity. He wondered if she had a favorite.

I picked up the menu and opened it to observe their offerings. I kept my hair between the window and my eye to keep the sunlight away.
"I might have, a long time ago," I said passively. "A lot has changed since then..." A brief moment after I spoke, a waiter approached out table. He was an easily identifiable Tiger -- orange fur with black slashes through it, white muzzle, hazel eyes. He had short, spiky hair that was pulled back, similar to Ateren's but shorter and thinner. He smiled to us as he took out a small notepad and a pen.
"Hello, how are you today?" He asked. His tone was strong, but kind. "What could I get you two to drink?" I instinctively flipped to the back of the menu, where the drinks usually are. Oh, beautiful, they have Pepzii products here.
"I'll have a Mountain's Dew," I replied. After, I buried my nose back in the menu to try and discover what I wanted to eat. The Tiger nodded as he wrote on his notepad.
"And you, Sir?"

Ateren gave a few nods. He wonders if she came here often when she was little. "They tend to change a little every year." He said making a light observation. Once the waiter came to order their drinks he didn't look to the back of the menu and simply replied. "I'll take a Cherry and Vanilla Pepzii please." He said with a wide grin. He seemed to be enjoying himself enough. He then directed his attention toward Yuu. "This place is pretty cozy though. Everything isn't that expensive either since it's a family ran joint. And it's always nice to actually eat with someone for a change."

The waiter nodded, writing down Ateren's choice.
"It'll be right out," He said cheerily before walking away. I thought about what the Pegasus said about how often it changes. How long could it have been since I was here last? I stared blankly as I thought, but snapped out of it quickly when he spoke again.
"Yeah," I agreed, almost automatically. After a brief moment, though, his words sunk in. This was the first time I've eaten with someone else in a long time... and it was also the first time I ate in public in a while. My gaze fell to the table then, as I repeated myself in a softer tone. My ears slowly lowered, drooping as the thought really started settling in. I've been a recluse for years now. No friends or anything. Perhaps that was why I was so bitter this morning...

Ateren tilted his head as he saw her ears droop and slowly looked well... sad. "Is everything alright?" He asked with heavy concern in his voice. He didn't really want things to turn sour when things were getting good.

I looked up as I heard Ateren 's concerned tone. My ears remained down, but I forced a smile.
"Yeah," I said, softly but emptily cheerfully. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just remembered something is all." I tilted my head a bit to the right to further cover my left eye. "So, why don't you tell me a bit about yourself? I mean, we only met this morning, after all."

Ateren still showed quite a bit of concern. "Well... I don't really like bragging about myself. But I'm a really good builder. I like helping others a lot as well. Um, my favorite color is blue! Used to be green." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck, thinking of things to say. "Got anything specific you want to know about?"
