[Fantasy/Gore] Rift Between Realms
#41
The human took my attitude fairly well -- wish I could say the same about Joey. I looked to the human and feigned a serious expression.
"To put it bluntly," I began, my tone still empty. "I am a demon. I am banished to the overworld -- here -- to capture and imprison the demons who crept through the rift between the realms of the underworld and overworld." I held my hand out, palm down. Afterward, the dry burning sound occurred as my weapon returned to my hand... even though my hand was still open, it stayed attached to my palm. "This is my weapon. His name is Eien."I took hold of it finally and propped it up on its handle. Due to the destroyed front of the store, I was able to do this without issue of the roof. "He is part of me while I'm trapped in this body." I stared at Joey. "There are different classes of demons. The lowest is D-Class, while the highest is the mythical Triple S-Class. No demon larger than A-Class can slip through the rift without damaging the fabric of Dimension." My gaze shifted to Ateren again. "I am an A-Class." I fully expected the human to run in fear after hearing all this. Humans are such fragile creatures, who couldn't bare to know the truths of it all.

I listen to it completely and it begins to fill into my head. "So they're kind of like Military ranks, starting with Private right, for your case, D Rank, all the way up to Sargent Major, A Class." I begin to notice that she kept facing me, I hated it. It made me feel like I was back at my bottom rank, felt like I was being pushed around again. I held in my anger and begin to put all my belongings back into my Hummer. I checked my watch, seeing as it's already close to 0300 hours and sigh. "I've been up since 0600, making it more than half a day." I walk back to them and look at the civilian. "Think you're able to take the kid and the parents to the hospital?" I had enough for that day, but I wasn't going to stop until I was finished with my part.

Ateren rubbed his chin as he listened to that. "I would've found that hard to believe on any other day. But what with what just happened and see you conjure up that scythe. I'll have to be more cautious. I often listen to my instincts though. I knew he was up to no good at all, I just knew it within every fiber of my being. However, I did nothing about it since he was 'Hotel Security' and I have to do what he says or else risk getting in trouble. He kind of had it made. After banging up the hotel with the fight you had, he kind of seemed to be really stressed." Ateren was pretty observant and intuitive. "Maybe you should check out the hotel some time. He might not be the only one."

I looked to Joey as he tried walking away.
"You're not going anywhere," I said coldly as the dry burning sound occurred. After a very short moment, the curve of Eien in front of his neck. "You're going to look after that civilian that was almost killed by that C-Class I just rid of." After a moment, the dry burning sound echoed again as I retracted my weapon and looked to the human. "They've been crawling around this city for many years - more than you've been alive." I ran my tongue on the side of my mouth. Despite being a demon, my tongue was a fairly healthy light hue of pink. "I have to route them all back before they could kill me." I looked back to Joey as my clothes rustled and shifted a bit. "You know what? Joey, we're going to pick up that human." After a moment, my clothing shifted from skinny jeans, combat boots, a tight tank top and a loose trench coat to a long sleeve hoodie, scarf, skirt, thigh highs and Converse. "I'm sure he'd like to be treated to breakfast after almost being hit." I looked back to the human. "You can come along if you like. It'll likely help your concussion." I paused and looked to the family of three. "Someone should call a human paramedic for those three, first."

I sighed out loud and rubbed the back of my head, but complied. If I wasn't going to get my way, I might as well do as she says and help her out. "I'll call the paramedics." With or without her consent, I called and informed them quickly before hanging up. I get into my Hummer and sigh. Only then did I slightly  took notice of her new outfit, though that wasn't part of the mission, it still seemed attractive to me.  "I still haven't gotten your name by the way. If we're gonna work together, I can at least get you to know your name." I start up my hummer and signal the civilian to hop in. "Also I guess you'll be going on foot, since you're faster than the Hummer?"

Ateren smiled and went inside the hummer. "Yeah, I'd like to be treated to some breakfast. Don't be surprised that I pass out on the drive though." He said as he got comfortable. His mind replayed the situation and wondered what he could've done differently. At least the family was going to be treated. His ears stopped ringing and he felt fine now. But he was still worried.

I stared at Joey for a moment, before hopping onto the hummer and sitting on the roof if it, one leg dangling over where the windshield should be.
"I go by Kowareta in the underworld," I said blandly. "I was the most wanted female demon in the entire realm, marked right below the S-Class criminals." I looked at my hand then, before continuing in a quieter tone. "Perhaps I, too, will soon reach such a class." I placed my hand on the hood of the Hummer then, and tapped it with my other hand. "So, what's the name of the other human, since we're doing introductions?"

Ateren blinks at the both of them. "Oh... uh, you mind if I just call you 'Reta'." He said with a sheepish smile. "And I'm Ateren Steelbender. One of the best builders in town. I tend to clean up the messes of everyone in town. As of lately I've had to clean 'other' messes. Like fights. Usually with co-workers." He said as he turned the air on. It was still hot around here despite being near winter. "If you need me to fortify something or make anything don't hesitate to ask. I can build OR repair just about anything. Even computers." He said with a hint of pride.

I take my Hummer off of neutral and begin driving off. I nod in response to Ateren. "Nice name by the way, Ateren, has a good ring to it." I begin driving slow on the streets in order to make sure not to make Kowareta doesn't fall off. Meanwhile besides the fact of looking for that other civilian, I was also looking at her dangling leg. Why was I just now noticing this? Why am I suddenly attracted to her features? Regardless, I pressed down these emotions whilst continuing this mission, I wasn't gonna let filthy emotions get into the way of my directions from my higher officers. After a few minutes of driving, I notice the civilian from earlier and begin to slow down. "There he is."

Lunas had just made it nearly home and was frankly, opening his door to enter when the hummer pulled up from behind him. He stops for a moment to see who it is. He'd assume they were here for someone else if they weren't in front of his place and if they weren't the same people he saw from earlier.
He doesn't know what they want, if they mean well or ill, and has half a mind to simply shut his door and lock it, and ignore anyone who approaches.
Instead, he quietly watches and waits.
